| 1930 | Summer | The only Barred Owl's nest seen was one discovered by Ralph Woolsey near Shakopee, on April 13th. The contents were three eggs, all of which hatched on the 17th. | ||

On April 2nd, Hanson and Hiemenz located a nest with 2 young about a vel3k old. A nest with 2 young almost ready to fly was found by Hanson on May 5th. | ||
| 1935 | Summer | Robert Haas, Horace Paul, Risser and Turner were wa.lldng among some largo trees at Frontenac May 25th when Paul spotted a half-grown downy Barred Owl standing outside its nest hole, 15 feet above.the ground in a big tree trunk. Risser, always adventurous, climbed to tho holo and found 2 more young inside. The parent birds both flew and perch ed within 100 feet of the observers, hooting and howling nll tho time in protest. At Lake Minnetonka June 5th, Mrs. F.ra.nklin Crosby, Jr. pointed out another half-grow Barred Owl to the bird class. | ||

Two adults and four young found in nest in Hennepin County by R. Grant on 9 May. | ||
